As a Music Director for Movies

A brief sojourn in films - before his career as a full-fledged classical concert musician

Given his stint with the film world and his inherent creativity, Chitti Babu had wielded the Baton as a music director for movies a few times.

Among them were a couple of Award Winning movies:

"Dikkatra Parvathi" - a Tamil film based on a story by Rajaji (C. Rajagopalachari) - Directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao which also featured the then upcoming Vani Jayaram in a popular song  "Aagaayam Mazhai Pozhindhaal"

"Unnai Pol Oruvan" -- by the famous novelist D. Jayakanthan

"Sri Raghavendra Vaibhava"  - a mythological film on the story of the ancient Madhva Saint Sri Raghavendra - filmed both in Telugu and Kannada in 1979, that had also received critical acclaim.

However, despite offers from several quarters to be a composer/music director for movies, he chose to pursue his concert career which was his primay goal and passion and he always enjoyed a packed calendar, as a performing artiste.
